At the University of Washington (UW), Dominic worked within the Financial Transformation (FT) program as a consultant project manager for the first 5 months of his time with UW. Due to Dominic's success as a consultant, he was hired as a Technology Project Manager in January 2023 helping to guide the $400 million program. He worked specifically within the technical pillar's remediate workstream. He was responsible for overseeing the remediation of multiple systems managed by UW-IT and achieved the following:
Effectively managed complex tasks by coordinating with technical teams, business units, and change management to ensure seamless implementation of Workday Finance integrations with custom systems in accordance with the UWFT timeline.
Dominic assessed risks and implemented mitigation strategies to ensure that existing applications continued to function after Workday go-live, ensuring continuity for users. In addition, Dominic guided remediation and updates to existing applications to work within the new Foundation Data Model (FDM) within Workday Finance and Reporting systems.
He was responsible for managing system projects; UWConnect - ITBill, Electronic Document Managements Services (EDMS) with DocFinity, Keynes retirement, MyUW remediation, Person Web Services, and Employee Compensation Compliance system, alongside efforts to assist in the retirement of Employee Effort and Compliance System. These remediation projects were critical to the success of the UWFT, Finance Central, and UW-IT.
Dominic's ability to adapt to changing circumstances, manage resources effectively, and collaborate with technical teams was essential in ensuring remediation efforts were completed in a timely and efficient manner before go-live of July 6, 2023.
Post go-live, Dominic supported the remaining work through hypercare and sustainability phases including onboarding onto new projects needing rapid analysis and project management support through the Finance Transformation's program end in December 2023.
