The goal of the Financial Transformation (FT) program at the University of Washington (UW) was to modernize the university’s financial systems through the implementation of Workday Finance. Dominic contributed to the program as both a consultant and later as a Technology Project Manager, focusing on the remediation of legacy systems to align with Workday Finance.

Project Overview:
Dominic joined the program as a consultant project manager, where his performance earned him a permanent role in January 2023. He worked within the technical pillar’s remediate workstream, overseeing the remediation of multiple UW-IT-managed systems. Key responsibilities included coordinating technical teams, business units, and change management teams to ensure successful integration of Workday Finance with existing systems while adhering to program timelines.

Dominic’s efforts also addressed risks and implemented mitigation strategies to ensure application continuity post-Workday go-live. He guided the updates of legacy applications to incorporate the new Foundation Data Model (FDM) within Workday Finance and Reporting systems.
