The City of Clearwater is known for its pristine beaches and world class government services. In 2015, Dominic was brought on board to help the city's Public Utilities department become compliant in a number of areas where audits found high risk. The objective of his project was to bring the department into compliance with the City's payroll directives. Print to Dominic's arrival, employees were not utilizing the Kronos time clock and their managers were not enforcing the use the technology. The payroll staff in the administrative division were not processing payroll in a timely manner, neither were they utilizing the PeopleSoft software properly.
Dominic's role was the program manager as with administrative and human resources duties fell under his purview. Responsibilities included a deadline of bringing the department into full compliance by the close of the calendar year.
The deliverables of the project were to bring 100% of employees in the Public Utilities Department into compliance with city payroll directives. Included with this deliverable was training 100% of current and newly onboarded staff on how to use Kronos to manage time. Inclusive with the training payroll technicians in how to use new features in PeopleSoft Dominic and the administrative division decreased payroll errors down to 2% each month.
